Two US Navy destroyers fired 59 missiles at Shayrat airfield in Syria overnight.

Thoughts?

At least five-six years too late. They should have intervened the second Assad started his genocide of Syrian civilians. Not just on a whim because he(and Putin, let's not forget) needs to shift the political focus, both domestic and foreign, from the fact that the US people elected the worst president of all time.

Putin has also started his election campaign. Unlike what most people belive, the elections in Russia are mostly fair - but not in the way Putin does elections.

But the missile strike as an isolated event? Fucked up. Don't do shit for anyone, other that escalating tensions and the violence use in the area.

Would they have been better not to have done it then?

Yes. As the very same airfield is up and running like nothing had happened now - only that the world knows that the US is ready to mess up Syria at any whim.

I don't want to die. That is all. Can I live in a world where everyone doesn't want to kill everyone else? That would be nice.

You already live in that world. Seems to me that you should chill out on reading the Daily Mail or whatever the crazyest british newspaper is.
