Macron v Le Pen in the second round. Who did you want to win and who is going to end up President?

Well, you have two parties to choose from.

One was founded by SS-volunteers, Vichy/Petain supporters, holocaust-deniers and the like. And have only modernized those views, not shifted from them.

And there's the other party.

After reading up a tiny bit on the other guy I have no idea what he stands for, but to be honest, it doesn't matter one bit.

It's the same as in the US: stop ever voting Republican again.

Same as in the UK: Vote no to Brexit you dimwits, vote whoever can beat the Tories. I have no clue how Corbyn is seen in the UK, but you better vote for him if you want the UK to have a chance to turn around.

Same as in Norway, you don't vote for the people who thinks children drowning are jokes or saying that humanitarian aid is bad because it works and more poor people are born.

Politics have turned pretty simple.

1) Don't vote for the nazi
2) Don't vote for those who support the nazi
3) Don't vote for those who promote nationalistic politics/use nationalist rhetoric
4) Don't vote for those who want to tear down your rights to (affordable) imporant services like health care, education or any other human rights.

Unfortunately Corbyn is seen here as being 'weak' and not Prime Ministerial material.

Being dicator-material shouldn't be what decides what makes a good leader for the British. But as long as Corbyn don't follow the French candidate and say that your colonialism was nothing less than a crime against humanity he shouldn't be totally written off I hope.

Unfortunately Brits mainly look at who would be the best Prime Minister in an election. Corbyn could have the best policies but they'd be ignored.

How the hell do you vote for someone who would be the villain in every British childrens story ever made then? Are you really lacking good politicians so badly?

Also isn't it just for the people to turn the agenda over to policies rather than looks or appearance? Haven't Brexit or Trump thought Britain a single thing?

The media has convinced anyone that is not switched onto politics that Corbyn is "weak" and a cancer to the country, otherwise termed as "unelectable" . The annoying thing is that the Conservatives are so beneficial to corporations and the rich in general that few realise that they are being absolutely mugged off by the media feeding them these lies and by electing these true blue scumbags that they are shitting on their own doorsteps.

Basically, Britain is fucked. Until people realise that they've lost their NHS, the ability to own their own home and their civil liberties will the populous do anything, and by that point it is too late.

And on topic, the French were fucked. They had the choice of a racist lunatic and a groomed Tony Blair with a french accent. They had a worse choice than us British.

I totally agree on the last part. But at least the French choice was honest with the fact he's a centrist and will take "the best of both world"-which is different from person to person. But it's clear that a lot of French people felt both choices were bad, as 16 million abstained or gave a blank vote. And that's insane when the choice is "a nazi or not" and they figure "It's so hard to tell them apart" or "politics doesn't matter anyway".

Hopefully the parlamentary elections in June will be better, even though a third of voters wants the racists in charge.

Totally agree with this (and good to see you back, Andy).

It's crazy how many registered voters abstained or spoilt their ballot papers!
